PERKIOMEN VALLEY ART CENTER ANNOUNCES
OIL PAINTING DEMONSTRATION
Harleysville, PA: The Perkiomen Valley Art Center will open a new season of
art programs featuring a demonstration of an landscape oil sketch on panel
by New Hope artist Glenn Harren on Wednesday, September 20th at 7:30pm at
Encore Experiences (Harleysville Senior Center) 312 Alumni Drive,
Harleysville. Mr. Harren, is a locally well-known artist, who has exhibited
his work widely throughout the tristate area of PA, NY, and NJ. The program
is free and open to the public.
Glenn is a painter who responds in color and shapes to the world around him.
“I seek the extraordinary aspects of everyday life whether in colors of the
landscape or in the simple dignity of the human form.” Glenn’s work has been
shown at numerous galleries in and around New Hope, Lambertville, Doylestown
as well as in New York.
The Perkiomen Valley Art Center is a non-profit volunteer group promoting
fine arts in this region and providing encouragement to local artists
through educational programs, art exhibits, awards for excellence in the
arts, and awards for area high school art students. All programs and art
exhibits are free and membership is open to all.

Opportunity for Artists to Exhibit
The Boyer Gallery of The Center For The Arts will be reviewing artists
interested in exhibiting their work.
Our gallery offers up to six exhibitions throughout the year.
We provide gallery space, the mailing of 1,000 exhibit announcements
and an opening reception for each of our exhibitions.
We charge a 30% commission and 6% sales tax on all sales.
In years past, we have features artists such as:
N. C. Wyeth, the Philadelphia Watercolor Society and Mildred Sands Kratz.
