YOUNG ARTISTS ‐ CHILDREN AND TEENS 

DRAWING SESSION (For Ages 7-14) -Joy Cognata

Tuesday, 4:30pm-6:00pm, October 17, 2017  

8 weeks (12 hours), $95 

A class designed for young artists interested in drawing and illustration 
who are seeking to improve drawing skills and techniques. Artists will 
learn and understand basic drawing fundamentals to make more 
dynamic, realistic drawings while still having fun! Throughout the 8 
week sessions, the class will focus on technique, color theory, and 
explore drawing with various mediums like charcoal and pastels. The 
last session will finish with a student art show.

YOUNG ARTISTS ‐ CHILDREN AND TEENS 

MIXED MEDIA SESSION (For Ages 5-15) - Joy Cognata
8 weeks (12 hours), $95
A fun, hands-on class for young artists interested in trying out different artistic methods and mediums. The class goal is to expand one’s idea of art beyond a paint brush or piece of paper. Projects include collage,
Sculpey clay, printmaking, and 3D sculpture with found objects. The last session will finish with a student art show.

THE FINE ART OF DRAWING  (9 years old to teens) 

(1:00‐2:30pm)

Fall Session ‐ Saturday, October 14, 2017 
8 weeks (12 hours), $95  

Emphasis on the human figure and drawing from life, young artists will 
explore various techniques and materials. Students will expand their 
knowledge of perspective, proportions, and composition. Both 
individual and group projects offer experience in creating a variety of 
works.   
Young artsts will explore self‐expression using a variety of materials 
and methods.  Age appropriate projects are designed to be artistically 
challenging. 


YOUNG ARTISTS ‐ CHILDREN AND TEENS 
MULTIMEDIA  (6 years old and up) Victoria Rivers

(3:00‐4:30pm)

Fall Session ‐ Saturday, October 14, 2017 
8 weeks (12 hours), $95
  

Interactive projects will help young artists explore various materials and 
methods hands‐on. Two dimensional and sculptural assignments 
designed to be challenging and encourage creativity.

Instructors:  Jo Ann Cooksey Bono and Mary Vogel Lozinak

Ages 6 to 13/Cost $150 per session

9-10 sessions in June, July and August 2017

 

Jo Ann teaches an introduction to basic drawing skills and techniques to improve your artwork from 10 a.m. until the lunch break each day.  From 12:15 until 2 p.m., Mary will involve the students in “hands on” projects such as collage,  papermaking, tee shirt printing, 3-d design and sculpy clay.  Friday’s “Graduation Day” includes an art show, award ceremony and reception for parents, siblings, grandparents and friends.

All supplies are included.  Students provide their own lunch.  A refrigerator is available and the building is air-conditioned.  This is the 20th year to run this successful program.  Both instructors are professional artists are professional artists with State Police and Child Abuse Clearances.

In all fairness to your child, the instructors and other campers, please be kind enough to inform us of any special physical or behavioral needs that your child may have.

Also, we have a zero tolerance policy for any type of bullying, hitting or any type of abusive behavior.  Children with discipline problems will be sent home without refunds for days missed.

Please only sign up children who know how to act appropriately in a classroom situation.
