GNAL receives grant from Arts Aid PHL
GNAL is grateful to Arts Aid PHL for their grant of $1,000.00 to cover general operating expenses.
Arts Aid PHL is a fund assembled with William Penn Foundation along with other major supporters, such
as, Barra, Wyncote, Doris Duke, Connelly, Independence, John S., and James Knight, Lenfest, and Victory
Foundations. There were also gifts from 400 individuals who made donations as small of $3.00 and as
large as 6 figures. This fund was created as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the financial
impact on arts organizations due to loss of income from their temporary closing because of the Stay at
Home order by Governor Wolf. The purpose for creation of the Fund was to show support for the arts and culture community in the
greater Philadelphia area. When all donated funds have been distributed, estimated to occur in late July, the fund will cease to
exist.
GNAL is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a grant in the amount of $1,000 under the Federal Government’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program managed through the Small Business Administration. EIDL is designed to provide economic relief to businesses that are currently experiencing a temporary loss of revenue. EIDL proceeds can be used to cover a wide array of working capital and normal operating expenses. This is part of the CARES Act.
