Poetic Self-Portraits

This teen inspired color pencil class combines traditional self-portrait drawings with contemporary use of poetry, song lyrics or literature. Incorporating words can be encrypted by using different languages/symbols or phrases straight out of books. Use as little or as much as you would like.  Use quotes that mean something to you alone or message about the world.

Acrylic Painting

Instructor: Lorraine Ricciardi

Age 13 to 17 •  3 to 6 pm

Wednesday
Session 1 • June 26 to July 24
Session 2 • July 31 to August 28

Acrylic Painting Class is just for you! First class, we will paint from a summer still life, brush up or learn new painting techniques. Wherever your at all are welcome. Next classes are up to you. Still Life Painting from photo or PleinAir if weather permits. So fun.

Materials: Large set of acrylic paint (studio grade), Brushes-24,16,6,4 flat/bright long handle, 0,2 round long handle,  any other favorite paint supplies welcome, 
2-3 16×20 canvases, Coated paper plates, and rags

Fall 2019 Young Artist Schedule

Kidz Kreate

Age 7 to 12 • 10:30 to Noon

Saturday for 5 weeks

Session 1  September 14 to October 19

Session 2  November 9 to December 7

A fun, hands-on class for young artists interested in exploring a variety of artistic methods and mediums. The class goal is to expand one’s idea of art beyond painting on paper. Projects include clay sculpting, printmaking, painting, and collage. The final class will conclude with a student art show.
